Sierra Valley is a large mountain valley located east of the crest of California's Sierra Nevada mountain range in Plumas and Sierra Counties, north of Interstate 80. With an elevation of nearly 5,000 feet, frost can be expected any month of the year. The valley was first explored by Americans in the early 1850s. At that time, it was home both to the Maidu and Washoe Native Americans. The area was widely traveled by pioneers, and the east end of the Sierra Valley is where Jim Beckwourth is credited with discovering the lowest mountain pass in the rugged Sierra Nevada.
The Roberti family takes great pleasure in living in the scenic Sierra Valley. The goal of the family is to continue to be good stewards of the land and to protect the beauty and agricultural heritage of the place they call home.
