Roberti Ranch is a family-owned cattle and hay operation in the beautiful Sierra Valley. Today, the ranch is operated by Elmer and Helen Roberti's three sons and their families.
When it became apparent in the late 1970s that all three Roberti brothers wanted to work on the ranch, they began building a hay business by converting sagebrush land to alfalfa fields. The farm now consists of nearly 6,000 acres. Of those acres, 2,000 are in alfalfa, and 1,500 are under irrigation.
Dave and Jane manage finances and the ranch office. Rick's wife, Carolyn, keeps the ranch calendar and makes sure the family and our employees know about daily ranch plans. Also known as Grammy, Helen enjoys preparing weekday lunch for the family and whoever else might be working on the ranch. Often, she has a full table of family members and sometimes friends who stop by around the noontime meal to visit or talk business. The hay crew also eats lunch in the summer at Grammy's house. Helen's dedication to her family has been a tremendous part of the ranch's success.
